LaDainian Tomlinson has signed a one day contract with his former team, the San Diego Chargers, and announced his retirement from the NFL on Monday, June 18th, 2012. His brilliant NFL career will ceremoniously come to an end at Chargers Park as the fifth leading rusher in league history and an NFL MVP title in 2006.
A first round draft pick in 2001 by the San Diego Chargers, the five time Pro Bowler finishes his career with 13,684 yards and 162 total touchdowns, third best behind Jerry Rice and Emmitt Smith. L.T. spent nine seasons with the Chargers before moving to the New York Jets where he played the last two seasons, and now is on his way to be a first-ballot hall of famer in Canton.
