Australian chef Michael Moore, the ‘Official Culinary Ambassador for California’, is currently in the US promoting his cookbook, Blood Sugar. From April 23rd – 28th he’ll be in and around London, launching Blood Sugar to the UK market.
Chef Michael Moore was busy running his restaurant, appearing on television, climbing the ranks of top chefs in the world and travelling the globe. He was already living with diabetes. For a top chef surrounded by great food, he faced the ultimate challenge of healthy eating and living. One day out of the blue, he suffered a major stroke while out to dinner with his family, an event that changed his outlook on life and food forever. Packed with inspiration, Blood Sugar includes nutritional tips, food balance and ideas for a healthy life, as well as recipes for home-cooking, entertaining and family life.

The 2012 Masters Tournament in
Augusta, GA will mark the 76th year that the world’s elite golfers have competed at Augusta National for the coveted Green Jacket. IMG Speakers client Tony La Russa is set to release his new book “One Last Strike: Fifty Years in Baseball, Ten and a Half Games Back, and One Final Championship Season”.
The book which will look back on his amazing career is tentatively scheduled to be released in Fall of 2012.
“This is a story, not only of dramatic moments, but how those dramatic moments were produced,” La Russa said in a statement released by his publisher William Morrow. “This is a story about being 10½ games out, a historic comeback and winning a World Series championship as an underdog. People ask me ‘How did you do it?’ This book will explain how.”

Late last year, Olympic rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave was given the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2011 BBC Sports Personality of the Year event.
Redgrave, a five-time gold medalist (1984 to 2000), was recognized for his huge contribution to rowing.
Since retiring from professional sports, Redgrave launched The Steve Redgrave Fund in 2001, raising over £5m for charity.
He also played a key role in helping England win the bid to host the Olympics in 2012 and is now committed to ensuring the event provides a lasting legacy for sport, as well as promoting the best of present day Britain around the world in the run-up to London 2012.
A favorite on the European lecture circuit, Redgrave was given a Knighthood in the 2001 New Year’s Honors List.

Cardinals to victory in the recently completed World Series, is considered one of the greatest managers in Major League Baseball history.
La Russa has received many accolades throughout his successful career. He is one of only four managers to be named Manager of the Year in both of baseball’s major leagues, in 2010 he became the longest tenured manager in Major League Baseball, and he is currently the winningest manager in St. Louis Cardinals history.
Both La Russa and his wife, Elaine, are founders of the Animal Rescue Foundation headquartered in Walnut Creek, California.
